How we check exoskeleton buying conditions
We read the brands' own product pages and policies, plus government sources where they matter, and record each fact with its source and the date we read it.
What we check
- Official prices on each brand’s store for the US, the UK, Canada and Australia, in local currency.
- What’s in the box, and published specs with the basis the brand gives, such as whether a weight includes a battery.
- Return, refund, cancellation, warranty and shipping terms for each country.
- Who the brand says can use the device, and how it says to check fit.
- Ways to try a device before buying, and what government sources say about paying for one.
Sources and dates
Every fact on this site cites its source, and every source shows the date we read it. We use, in this order:
- The brand’s own policy pages, product pages and help center.
- Government and regulator sources, such as CMS, the IRS and GOV.UK.
- Registries such as ClinicalTrials.gov.
- Third-party catalogs, only to point out where they differ from the brand.
Prices and policies change. The brand’s own page on the day you buy is what counts; ours shows what it said on the check date.
What the labels mean
- No label: the cited page states this.
- Not stated: the cited pages don’t give this information.
- Not verified: we have a value only from an indirect source, such as a search index summary or a third-party catalog, or we didn’t read this part of the official page.
- Conflicting: the brand’s own pages say different things; we show each version with its source.
- Marketing claim: a performance or health figure the brand publishes without a test method; we report it, we don’t endorse it.
Unknown is never shown as zero or “no”.
How we read pages
Most pages are read as page text. Some are read in a browser, including the page’s structured data, which is how we get exact store prices. PDFs are read as text, and ClinicalTrials.gov through its data API. When an official page blocks automated reading, we may use a search index summary of it, and we mark those facts Not verified.
What we don’t do
- We don’t test devices, score them or rank them.
- We don’t give medical advice or say whether a device suits a person.
- We don’t take payment, free products or affiliate commissions. See the disclosure.
Corrections
If a brand’s page no longer matches what we show, the brand’s page is right. To report an error, email corrections@exoskeletoncheck.com with the page and what has changed. We recheck the source, fix the page and update its check date.
